FAQs – PTCMFR – Peachtree City Myofascial Release

Common Questions

1Do you accept insurance?
No, we do not accept insurance. We accept cash, check, and debit/credit card payments. We can provide an e-mail invoice/receipt for services that you may submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement. However, we do not guarantee that the company will accept and reimburse for myofascial release.
2What are your hours?
We are open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday by appointment only between the hours of 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. You may book online, or call to book to better accommodate your schedule.
3Where are you located?
Our office is located inside the Atlas Chiropractic office in Tyrone at 190 Handley Rd. After entering the front of the building, you will see the Atlas Chiropractic door on your right, which is Suite B, and the Atlas front desk staff will greet you and invite you to have a seat while waiting for your appointment time. Note: The restrooms are located outside the suite in the lobby area of the building where you first enter.
4What is your cancellation policy?
We ask for at least 24 hours’ notice when canceling or rescheduling an appointment. Excepting emergencies, no-shows will be charged a $50 fee at their next appointment.
5What should I wear for my session?
Please wear loose-fitting, comfortable clothing, such as cotton shorts and tank top. You may bring attire with you as you will have privacy to change clothes. Note: Please refrain from using lotions or creams on your skin the day of your treatment. It is very important that myofascial release be performed on clean, dry skin to prevent slipping or sliding.
6What should I expect during my initial session?
When you arrive, you will fill out a medical history form. The therapist will allow you to change into your comfortable clothing and then will perform a posture analysis as well as review your medical form with you. Gentle treatment will begin, targeting your body’s areas of tension and pain. You may feel warmth or subtle stretching in your body throughout treatment, and communication with your therapist is welcome. Afterward, you may experience short-term soreness as your body adjusts to the changes. Likely you will notice a decrease in symptoms, pain and tension.
7Why should I self-treat between sessions?
Self-treating at home enhances your own body awareness and can help speed your progress in meeting your treatment goals with fewer in-office sessions. Ultimately, we want all of our patients to learn self-treatment to empower them to care for their own bodies!
8How many sessions will I need?
There is no protocol for a certain number of treatments as every client has different needs. Some may require only one or two treatments while others may need a series. Because you know your body best, we allow you to determine your session frequency and quantity.
